Anxiety can be attributed to a combination of factors. Feelings of anxiety are normal and common. This emotion is characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased blood pressure. People with anxiety disorders usually have recurring intrusive thoughts or concerns. They may avoid certain situations out of worry. They may also experience physical symptoms such as sweating, trembling, dizziness, or a rapid heartbeat. If these symptoms persist and keep you from everyday activities, it may signal a larger problem such as anxiety disorder.
