This disorder involves a person having an extreme focus and excessive thoughts, feelings, and behavior related to the physical symptoms such as pain, weakness or shortness of breath that causes major emotional distress and problems functioning. Those who suffer with the disorder often believe the worst about symptoms and frequently seek medical care and continue to search for explanations.
